MDD Europe Ltd has been appointed to provide on-track extrication, medical support and training for all teams in the new electric off-road racing series, Extreme E.
MDD Europe which has been at the forefront of motorsport and a long standing official medical supplier to the FIA, also provides full air and ground medical support to the FIA Formula E series, the Electric Touring Car series (ETCR), and is now an official medical supplier for Extreme E and Moto E.
The series is currently preparing to start racing in 2021 and Alejendro Agag, Founder and CEO of Extreme E has stated the importance of providing full medical support and safety for all Extreme E racing teams which is why MDD was enlisted for motorsport medical provision.
For more than two decades MDD has been working to improve safety at motorsports events developing medical processes and equipment to meet the needs of racing teams and organisations connected to the motorsport industry.
In a recent statement John Trigell, Director of Operations at MDD Europe said: “We are proud to be working with Extreme E on this new exciting, innovative and cutting edge Motorsport series, providing the best in professional medical, e-safety and on-track rescue services to the championship and teams and look forward to a successful collaboration together.”
The popularity of Extreme E is growing in this exciting motorsport where racing teams will be competing next year in some of the most demanding environments of any racing series with several confirmed locations. The series also hopes to bridge the gender equality gap and raise awareness for several other campaigns as electric racing gains momentum.
